<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately estimate a rib image from a chest photography image. <P>SOLUTION: The rib image 200 for which pixel value components contributing to the rib are extracted from the pixel values of pixels constituting the chest photography image 100 is generated, and the rib shapes of the plurality of ribs are extracted from the chest photography image 100 or the rib image 200.
