PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyarylene sulfide composition which excels in thermal conductivity particularly useful in applications for electric parts such as electric/electronic parts and/or automobile electrical components, dimensional stability, heat resistance, mold release properties, low gas properties, and melt flowability and reduces the anisotropy of thermal conductivity. SOLUTION: This polyarylene sulfide composition comprises (a) a polyarylene sulfide, (b) carnauba wax, (c) a carbon fiber having a thermal conductivity of 100 W/k m and/or a scaly boron nitride powder having a hexagonal structure, and (d) a high purity magnesite powder which is magnesite having magnesium carbonate as the major component and has a magnesium carbonate content of 98-99.999.
