PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a string removing device for removing a string binding a plurality of articles, which reliably collects the string binding the articles after the string is removed from the articles. SOLUTION: The string removing device 100 comprises: a cutting mechanism 38 for cutting a string 12; a winding mechanism 70 for winding the cut string 12; and an air blowing unit 86 which blows air on the wound string 12 and feeds the string into a discharging chute 90.
