PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data selecting program for selecting music data to create a good-looking slide show with music in which images and music are combined. SOLUTION: A computer is allowed to function as: a slide display time calculating means 14 for calculating the slide display time for which image data inputted from a digital camera or a medium are displayed as a slide show; a music data selecting means 15 for selecting one or more items of music data on the playing time in a range determined according to the slide display time or one or more items of music data having an image similar to the image based on the image data from a plurality of items of music data stored in storage means 18, a recording medium 9, or a server 10; and a display control means 19 for allowing display means 5 to display the selected music data.
