PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noble metal fine particle-supporting material, which keeps noble metal fine particles evenly carried by the surface of a base and does not substantially need to limit the material for the base, and to provide a method for manufacturing the noble metal fine particle-supporting material. SOLUTION: This noble metal fine particle-supporting material keeping noble metal fine particles carried by the surface of a base is characterized in that the base is formed of a metal oxide having a surface at least a part of which has positive or zero charge.
