<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder which enables an image recorder to effectively shift to a power-saving mode. <P>SOLUTION: In the network-connected inkjet recorder, a data processor utilizing the inkjet recorder is specified. It is judged whether the specified data processor is in a state to be able to utilize the image recorder.
