PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light projecting device in which the shape of a light beam is altered into a desired shape and heat generation of the device is suppressed. SOLUTION: Digital information of a pixel arrangement for deciding the shape of the projected light beam is stored in a memory. An array of a plurality of fine reflecting elements are arranged in the path of the optical beam emitted from a light projector, and the shape of the light beam is altered in various forms by controlling the reflecting direction by controlling the respective reflecting elements according to the information of the respective pixels by using an image processing technology.
