PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing absorbent articles to reduce a waste of materials for a wing part and to achieve an absorbent article while a base of the wing part smoothly continues to side edge parts of a surface sheet and a back side sheet. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing absorbent articles 1 with an absorbent main body 10 and a pair of wing parts 5 extending from both side edge parts 10A includes: an intermediate wing joining process P2 for joining an intermediate wing 56 of a wing shape to whole cloth 20 of the front sheet and/or whole cloth 30 of the back sheet so that an extending end 51 faces outside in the width direction of the front sheet 2 or the back sheet 3; a process P3 for joining the front and back sheets for joining the side of a skin non-abutting surface of the whole cloth 20 to the side of a skin abutting surface of the whole cloth 30 while an absorber 4 is interposed; and a process P4 for cutting the front and back sheets/the intermediate wing to form the wing part 5 by cutting the whole cloth 20 and the whole cloth 30 in a manner to form both side edge parts 10A of the absorbent main body 10 and by cutting the intermediate wing 56 in a manner to form the base 54 of the wing part 5.
