PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for preventing an accident of stumbling over a level difference or a turning over part which is caused at the end portions of a carpet, a plastic mat, and other mats which are put and spread indoors. SOLUTION: A device for preventing stumbling on a mat, which consists of plastics, rubber, or the like, and two upper and lower elongated plates. A presser plate (1) is formed into a circular arc shape having flexibility, the presser plate (1) and a base plate (2) are joined together on one side, and separated from each other on the other side and can be freely rolled up. The device is put under the edge of the mat and the edge of the mat is inserted between the presser plate and the base plate (2) while rolling up one side of the presser plate (1) with a finger. The presser plate (1) maintains a circular arc shape and is connected with the base plate (2) at an acute angle, and therefore the mat is inserted between them and fixed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
