PURPOSE:To obtain a new-type shaped steel-bar with node-shaped parts distributed spirally in the longitudinal direction by twisting a shaped steel bar rolled by pinch rolls installed just behind a finishing mill. CONSTITUTION:Pinch rolls 2a, 2b are prepared by making them freely rotatable around a pass-line axis 3 and the gap between them adjustable. A steel bar is rolled by a pair of rolls 1a, 1b having each a groove in its caliber, to obtain a shaped steel bar 4 with node parts. The steel bar 4 is twisted by gripping its both sides by said rolls 2a, 2b installed just behind a finishing mill. In this way, a new-type shaped steel-bar whose node parts (a) and their both sides (b) are distributed continuously and spirally in the longitudinal direction, is obtained. |
