PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for preventing damages caused by birds, capable of effectively preventing the damages caused by the birds irrespective to the kinds or sizes of the objective birds and also easily installed at various places irrespective to their environment. SOLUTION: This device 1 for preventing the damages by the birds installed at a long length part 2 of a structural material on which the bird B perches, and equipped with a rod-formed member 5 installed along the long length part 2 and a mounting member 6 for mounting the rod-formed member 5 at the long length part 2 is characterized by supporting the rod-formed member 5 by the mounting member 6 as capable of rotating around an axial line L.
