<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter for liquid crystal display which has heat resistance, causes no deformation, facilitates the manufacture, has flexibility and also permits reduction of weight and thinning. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter for liquid crystal display includes: a plastic film substrate 11 made of polyimide having heat resistance and transparency; color filter layers 14, 16, 17 of red (R), green (G), blue (B) formed corresponding to respective pixel electrodes on the plastic film substrate 11; a black matrix layer 12 formed between the color filter layers 14, 16, 17; and an overcoat layer 18 formed on the surfaces of the color filter layers 14, 16, 17 and the black matrix layer 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
