PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for recovery which is simple in structure, is reduced in volume when housing, is convenient to carry, is low in the physical distribution cost for transportation etc., and is low in a manufacturing cost as well, prevents the contamination due to recovery leakage of recovered objects, is sealed hermetically as the operation during exchanging due to fullness etc., of the recovered objects, and forms a high quality image, and to provide an image forming apparatus having the same. SOLUTION: The recovery container consists of a top part 1 which can be folded, a ventilation/inlet port 2, which is provided at the top part 1 and introduces a ventilation port 20a for venting the recovered objects, a fold 3 which folds the ventilation/inlet port 2, and a volume reduction container 2 which communicates with the ventilation/inlet port 2 bent at the fold 3 and can be reduced in the volume when housing.
