PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system whereby a user can easily place settings onto a desired electric device. SOLUTION: A mobile information processing terminal 1 disclosed herein and provided with an equipment operation means for transmitting an equipment control signal for controlling the operation of the electric device 2 to electronic equipment via a communication means in response to a user's operation, includes: an equipment state information acquisition means for acquiring equipment state information denoting the operating state of the electric device; a setting information storage means for storing setting information of a predetermined electric device; and a comparison means for comparing the acquired equipment state information with the stored setting information, and the equipment operating means shifts to an operation mode wherein the equipment control signal can be transmitted to the electric device in response to a result of the comparison by the comparison means.
