PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for enabling a user to easily refer to information when there are a plurality of masters managed by generation in one system. SOLUTION: When the end date of composite generations expressing generations for records in a plurality of masters is initially set as the latest application end date, records satisfying the designated retrieval conditions and such conditions that it is valid on a set end date are retrieved from each master. The records whose application start date is the latest are extracted from among the retrieved records, and the application start date and the set end date are stored as the start date and end date of the composite generations. The previous date of the start date of the composite generations in which data are stored is newly set as the end date of the composite generations, and the composite generations are successively decided so that the proper combination of records can be decided, and that data necessary for output can be acquired.
