PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing the number of variables without decreasing discrimination efficiency when discrimination and analysis are made. SOLUTION: A discrimination and analysis method comprises; a process in which a partial set group having (N-1) pieces of elements for N index sets is generated; a process in which discrimination efficiency is computed for each partial set; a process in which a partial set, which is maximum in discrimination efficiency, is employed as (N-1) index sets, and the partial set is replaced with N index sets; and a process in which whether requested specifications are satisfied is determined.
