PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for screening a substance exhibiting pharmacologic action by acting on N-type calcium channel. SOLUTION: The method screens the substance having the pharmacological action on blood pressure control, transmission of pain, blood sugar level control and so forth involves using a non-human animal in which a gene coding for the N-type calcium channel is disrupted to lack functional N-type calcium channel.
