PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molten metal forming apparatus having a metal melting mechanism for melting a cylindrical metal material in a heating cylinder, wherein the cylindrical metal material can surely be supplied to the rear end of the heating cylinder one by one without the possibility of deformation. SOLUTION: The molten metal forming apparatus is operated by: sequentially supplying the pre-heated cylindrical metal material in the heating cylinder from the rear end thereof; sequentially pushing the metal material to the front of the heating cylinder with a direct drive body; gradually melting the metal material as the material proceeds to the front end from the rear end of the heating cylinder. The apparatus is equipped with an articulated robot for taking out the cylindrical metal material stored in a pre-heating chamber one by one and carrying it to the rear end of the heating cylinder.
