The invention relates to the pharmaceutical composition containing the compound of the general formula (I) as an active ingredient where R represents hydrogen or methyl. The compound is intended for treating or preventing the diseases involving decreasing and/or impaired cognitive functions or the defective mental power concomitant with other diseases. In particular, the pharmaceutical composition useful for treating Parkinson's disease, Korsakov's syndrome or Huntington disease is disclosed. As the compound of formula (I), (1R,2S,4R)-(-) -2-(2-dimethylaminoethoxy) -2-phenyl-1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptane fumarate is preferable. |
