Disclosed is a parking brake. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the parking brake includes: a drum which rotates with wheels of a vehicle; first and second brake shoes installed on both inner sides of the drum, respectively; an operating lever combined with an end part of each of the first and second brake shoes to push the first and second brake shoes inside the drum when a parking cable is pulled; an anchor installed on a back plate, combined with a vehicle body, to touch and support an end part of each of the brake shoes; an adjuster placed between the first and second brake shoes to compensate for a gap between the drum and the brake shoes; a return spring connecting the first and second brake shoes, and returning each of the brake shoes to an original position when the braking is released; and an elastic member combined with the other end part of each of the first and second brake shoes to help each of the brake shoes return to the original position when the braking is released. Therefore, the present invention is capable of preventing a drag effect. |
