<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the versatility of a door lock device while reducing its manufacturing cost and enhancing its anti-theft property. <P>SOLUTION: The door lock device includes: a lock mechanism 500 which validates the operation of opening a door using an outside handle 1 when the door is unlocked and transmits the operation to a rachet 22 to disengage the ratchet 22 from a latch 21 if the ratchet 22 has been engaged with the latch 21, and which invalidates the operation of opening the door using the outside handle 1 when the door is locked; a housing 10 accommodating the lock mechanism 500; and an operation input part by which the rotation of a key cylinder KC caused by a key operation performed from outside the housing 10 is transmitted to the lock mechanism 500 as a rotational driving force to switch the lock mechanism 500 between an unlocked state and a locked state.
