PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method which enables detection of the replacement of a motor, if it replaces another, and obtaining the inherent characteristics of the replacing motor following the replacement, thereby enabling smooth operation of the motor. SOLUTION: A motor identification code is stored, in a motor that stores information inherent thereto or an encoder connected thereto or, in a memory attached to a control device as well as in a control device; when the motor is replaced with another, the control device recognizes the identification code of the replacing motor, and if it is different from the identification code that the control device stores, it is made possible to rewrite the previous information stored in the control device, in the replacing motor; or in the encoder connected to the replacing motor, into the information inherent to the replacing motor, while the motor identification code stored in the control device is rewritten into that of the replacing motor, after which the motor is subject to control. |
