Driving evaluation processing is performed by calculating an ratio of how a driver has performed shift changing according to an advice for a gear position of a transmission (2), and the calculated ratio is displayed on a display section (13). By displaying the data of the ratio on the display section (13), the driver is enabled to confirm by visual inspection the degree to which he has been able to perform driving in obedience to the advice.
