The container (20) has a conveying unit for conveying fuel (17) to a furnace (40), where the conveying unit has a flexible, pliable conveying loop (1). The fuel is applied to the loop during an operation, where the loop forms a shape, which is approximately bag-shaped and sagged downwards, during loading the loop with the fuel. A drive and/or traction unit reversibly brings the loop into a tightened state, such that the fuel in the loop is brought to the top of the loop, whose length and sagging are reduced in the tightened state.
