An endoscope includes a wide-angle image-pickup unit 40 for observing a subject illuminated with illumination lights from LG fiber bundles 41, and a distal end rigid portion 31 for holding distal ends of the LG fiber bundles 41 and a distal end portion of the image-pickup unit 40, and the distal ends of the LG fiber bundles 41 are held in a state of being inclined outwardly with respect to an insertion direction of the distal end rigid portion 31, an observation hole 31a for holding the image-pickup unit 40 is formed at the distal end rigid portion 31, illumination holes 31b to 31d for holding the distal ends of the LG fiber bundles 41 are formed around the observation hole 31a, the illumination holes 31b to 31d are inclined outwardly with respect to an insertion direction of the distal end rigid portion 31, extended lines of inclined angles of the illumination holes 31b to 31d are set to pass through backward of the observation hole 31a, and a space after removal of the image-pickup unit 40 from the observation hole 31a is secured as a space for withdrawal of the LG fiber bundles 41. |
