PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remarkably reduce a centering and edging, and chamfering time for a mold lens for a projection. SOLUTION: The outer peripheral end part of a grinding wheel body 41 is provided with a first groove 42L and a second groove 42R having the same shape formed in tandem in a grinding wheel shaft, abrasive grains with grain size of #270 are electro-deposited as a first abrasive grain layer 43L, and abrasive grains with grain size of #400 are electro-deposited as a second abrasive grain layer. Most of uneven thickness is eliminated by the first abrasive grain layer 43L, and subsequently, the grinding wheel part 4 is slid in the axial direction to perform finishing with the second abrasive grain layer 43R.
