<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording method which records information, with uniform signal characteristics, to the whole surface of an optical disk medium, while keeping compatibility with a recording format of a conventional read-only medium, by using a simple method which drives an optical disk medium by means of a CAV method. <P>SOLUTION: In rotational driving by a CAV method in an information recording method, set values of the front edge position of a front head heating part, recording power Ptop at the front head heating part and recording power Prear at a succeeding heating part are renewed at prescribed intervals in accordance with a desired linear velocity so that a ratio Ttop of the pulse width of the front head heating part to a recording clock cycle T and a ratio ε (=Ptop/Prear) of the recording power Ptop at the front head heating part to the recording power Prear at the succeeding heating part may be changed together, and consequently uniform recording to the whole surface from the innermost position to the outermost position becomes possible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
