PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical pickup in which low cost is realized by making it thinner and simplifying a coil and a magnet while allowing for focus control, tracking control, and tilt control. SOLUTION: The device has a lens holder 20 for holding an objective lens 25, an elastic support body 19 for movably supporting the lens holder 20, a pair of focus coils 30 arranged for the lens holder 20 facing a focus magnet 35, and a pair of tracking coils 32 arranged for the lens holder 20 facing a tracking magnet 36, in both side surfaces of the lens holder 20. The focus coil 30 and the tracking coil 32 are arranged in a diagonal position of the lens holder mutually separated. An optical path 12, in which light flux leading to the objective lens 25 passes is formed between the focus coil 30 and the tracking coil 32 arranged in the side surface for the lens holder.
