Provided is a broadcasting receiver by which regional information can be easily set. A control section (102) of a DVR (100) transmits an acquisition request for the regional information to a TV (200), and when it receives a response to such acquisition request from the TV (200), it extracts the regional information from the received response and performs channel presetting by using the extracted regional information. A control section (204) of the TV (200) stores the regional information, and when it receives the acquisition request for the regional information from the DVR (100), it transmits the stored regional information to the DVR (100) as the response.
