PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation apparatus which provides a driver with an appropriate image about surroundings of a branch point, which is necessary for diverting etc. at the branch point such as an intersection. SOLUTION: A path searching section 102 searches a path to a destination which is set. An imaging regulation setting section 107 determines an imaging regulation of the imaging section 109 at the branch point which exists in the searched path. A distance calculation section 104 calculates a distance from a self vehicle to the branch point. A control section 108 changes the image for indicating to an output device according to the calculated distance based on the determined imaging regulation. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
