The invention concerns a method for obtaining a homogeneous filtering structure for a catalytic application useable as particulate filter in an internal combustion engine exhaust line, said structure comprising a plurality of honeycomb filtering media which consists in determining, in a prior step, a homogeneity criterion, characteristic of the support material constituting said media, in the absence of catalytic coating then in selecting the media capable of constituting the structure using said homogeneity criterion so as to obtain a structure adapted to a homogeneous deposit, inside the media and from one media to another, of the catalyst treating pollutants in gas phase. The invention also concerns the homogeneous filtering structure obtained by said method.
