PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quantum computer capable of easily generating a large-scale cluster state. SOLUTION: Each optical system in the quantum computer is provided with a plurality of small optical systems 801 to 821 and a plurality of switchable mirrors 701 to 704 of which two each are arranged between two adjacent small optical systems. Each single-photon source is arranged so that photons are made incident on each small optical system. Each polarization measuring system is provided with a half-wave length plate, a polarized beam splitter on which photons transmitted through the half-wave length plate are made incident, a photodetector for detecting the photons transmitted through the polarized beam splitter, and an optical detector for detecting the photons reflected by the polarized beam splitter. The switchable mirrors 701 to 740 are arranged so that each polarization measuring system can measure the polarization of photons outputted from respective small optical systems. A plurality of first mirrors are arranged so that photons outputted from the small optical systems in each optical system by the switchable mirrors can be made incident on small optical systems in an adjacent optical system through the switchable mirrors.
