PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber module permitting to fix an optical fiber without using welding and an adhesive, and permitting alignment of the optical fiber or the like. SOLUTION: In the fiber module 1A, a fiber positioning member 6 formed with a fiber fixing member 11 for fixing the optical fiber at a desired position when a ferrule 8 of the optical fiber 5 is force-fitted therein, is attached to a lens-fiber fixing housing 7. The lens-fiber fixing housing 7 press-fixes the fiber positioning member 6 by a pressing part 14b formed by press working so that the fiber positioning member 6 can be adjustable in position in the direction orthogonal to the optical axis. A semiconductor laser 2 is fixed by pressure into a laser fixing part 9 formed in a lens-laser fixing housing 4. Moreover, the lens-laser fixing housing 4 and the lens-fiber fixing housing 7 are fixed in one body via a lens member 3. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
