PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a "navigation device and a vehicle position estimating method" for estimating a vehicle position estimation during curve travel by a method different from that during straight line travel. SOLUTION: A vehicle turn direction calculating section determines the vehicle turn direction based on the variation in vehicle azimuth; an angular velocity calculating section determines the angular velocity of the vehicle, and a turn radius calculating section determines the turn radius R of the vehicle based on the angular velocity and moving distance every predetermined time. A turn radius correcting section corrects the turn radius R so that it increases by a correction value WL according to the travel position on a road when the vehicle turns left, and so that it decreases by a correction value WR according to the travel position on the road when the vehicle turns right.
