PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the simulation quality of the cooperative simulation of hardware and software. SOLUTION: This simulation device is provided with a programmable circuit 1a on which a design object circuit 3a for performing a cyclic operation is mounted and a computer 2 for executing a program to be prepared as operation description without time constraint. The programmable circuit 1a is provided with data transfer circuits 41a and 41b for performing data transfer between the computer 2 and the design object circuit 3a in the unit of transaction; verification circuits 31_1 to 31_n and 31_1 to 31_k for verifying whether or not the operation of the design object circuit 3a satisfies specifications, and for, when the operation of the design object circuit 3a does not satisfy the operation of the design object circuit 3a, notifying it as error detection and verification result transfer circuits 42a and 42b for temporarily stopping the operation of the design object circuit 3a when the detection of the error is notified, and for transferring the result of verification by the verification circuits 31_1 to 31_n and 31_1 to 31_k to the computer 2.
