PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an access support apparatus for avoiding illegitimate intrusion and DoS attacks so as to prevent degrading of the performance of a gateway apparatus and eliminating the need for recognition of differences from accesses of terminals to the gateway apparatus. SOLUTION: An authentication means 1a authenticates a terminal 2 as to whether the terminal 2 is a legitimate terminal for making communication with the gateway apparatus 3 in compliance with the IPSec in response to a request from a user possessing the terminal 2. An advance shared key generating means 1b generates an advance shared key between the terminal 2 and the gateway apparatus 3 when the terminal 2 is authenticated to be a legitimate terminal. A generating means of firewall open instruction information 1c generates firewall open instruction information to open the firewall of the gateway apparatus 3 when the terminal 2 is authenticated to be a legitimate terminal. A transmission means 1d transmits the advance shared key to the terminal 2 and the gateway apparatus 3, and transmits the firewall open instruction information to the gateway apparatus 3.
