SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing a bearing unit 101 comprising at least a shaft 7, a sleeve 8 mounted on the shaft in a relatively rotatable state, a first flange member 6 fixed or integrated with the shaft 7, and a second flange member 9 fixed on the shaft 7, the manufacturing method comprises at least a first step for inserting the sleeve 8 into the shaft 7 and inserting the second flange member 9 into the shaft, a second step for pushing an upper surface of the second flange member 9 in an axial direction, and a third step for fixing the second flange member 9 on the shaft 7 by welding the shaft 7 and second flange member 9 while keeping the pushing state.
