<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card capable of inspecting the consistency of update program mounted in the IC card, and managing execution of the updating program, on the basis of an inspection result thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The updating program 40 and updating program management data 30 are stored in an EEPROM 24 of this IC card 1 so as to perform correction/function addition of a program stored in a ROM 23 of the IC card 1. A check code that is an error detection code, calculated from a certain arithmetic expression is stored in the updating program management data 30, and an execution management program 231 calculates the error detection code of the updating program 40, in accordance with the arithmetic expression, before executing the updating program 40, and makes the updating program 40 executed, only when the calculated error detection code and the check code agree. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
