PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To strike a balance between adjustment of YV and vertical trapezoidal distortion and suppression of ringing for a color picture tube device mounting a toroidal vertical deflection coil. SOLUTION: The vertical deflection coil comprises: an upper core left-hand coil 49 and an upper core right-hand coil 51 on an upper core 10a; and a lower core left-hand coil 48 and a lower core right-hand coil 52 on a lower core 10b. A vertical deflection current flows from a first terminal L1 via the lower core left-hand coil 48, a first tap T1, the upper core left-hand coil 49, a second tap T2, the upper core right-hand coil 51, a third tap T3, and the lower core right-hand coil 52 to a second terminal L2 in a moment. A CR dumping of a capacitor 62 and a resistor 63 connected in series is connected to the first tap T1 or the third tap T3. A differential resistor 65 is connected to the second tap T2.
