<p>The safety belt system (1) with an electric motor powered belt tensioner (2) has a light indicator (4) which shows the laying state of a belt (3) and also shows an adjusting action of the belt tensioner. An automatic belt tensioning is initiated as an adjusting action by the locking of the belt buckle which is indicated by the light indicator. The adjusting action comprises an individual measuring of the belt on an occupant.</p>
