<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensing system which can detect desired physical information (such as inclination) by an inexpensive configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The sensing system for detecting predetermined types of physical information which change in accordance with external causes such as an external operating force comprises a camera 2, an attachment 10 including a subject of which the condition changes in accordance with the external causes, and a CPU for detecting the physical information on the basis of image data from the camera 2. The subject is, for example, a sphere 41 arranged on a concave surface (44). When a housing attached to the attachment 10 is inclined, the sphere 41 moves on the surface.
