<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver and a broadcast receiving method for improving the operability of a user. <P>SOLUTION: A control part 12 stores information of a channel to which a user is paying attention in an attention channel information storage part 41. Afterwards, when a user performs a quick depressing operation to an attention channel tuning operation part 33, the control part 12 operates tuning based on the attention channel information stored in the attention channel information storing part 41.
