<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a mobile station to communicate with both a cellular network which assigns the mobile station with a mobile identification number, and a cordless cellular base station, using the same cellular frequency and communication protocol. <P>SOLUTION: A wireless communication system includes a cordless cellular base station 10. The cordless cellular base station is capable of communicating with a cellular network compatible mobile station 12. The cordless cellular base station 10 is connected to a landline 14 on a public switched telephone network (PSTN) 15 and a landline identification number (LLN), that is, a telephone number is assigned. Furthermore, in manufacturing, an electronic serial number is assigned for identification to the cordless cellular base station 10. The electronic serial number is stored in a permanent memory of the cordless cellular base station ordinarily so as not to be illegally modified by an unauthorized person. The mobile station 12 is registered on a cellular network 16 and a mobile station identification number (MIN), that is, a telephone number of the mobile station is assigned thereto. Furthermore, in manufacturing, an electronic serial number (ESN) is assigned to the mobile station. The ESN is stored in a permanent memory of the mobile station ordinarily. As known by a corresponding enterpriser, the cellular network 16 is connected to the public switched telephone network for routing a call between a calling party of the cellular network 16 and a calling party of the public switched telephone network (PSTN) 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
