<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for desalting seawater, which has a simple structure and is portable. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus 10 for desalting seawater is provided with a float chamber 2, and a water chamber 6 and a sponge 8 which are housed inside the float chamber. Since the float chamber 2 always floats on the sea level at the same height, sunbeams are always converged on the sea level on the sponge 8 by a lens 4 mounted on the float chamber 2. Steam produced from heated seawater is condensed on the water chamber 6 being in contact with seawater and accumulated in the water chamber 6. Since the water chamber 6 descends inside the float chamber 2 according to the amount of the water accumulated in the water chamber, the float chamber 2 is not affected by the accumulated water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
