PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reclining seat for an automobile which can be made wide, improves comfort to sit in, and secure the width of the seat and comfort to sit in even when a vehicle body is miniaturized. SOLUTION: A side panel 21 for forming a shape is molded in an inverted J form in cross section between the front end and the rear end of a frame of a seat cushion. Then a plurality of holes 26 for hooking are made in the lower panel end 23 in the longitudinal direction, and the side panel 21 is fixed to the front end side of the frame side of the seat cushion frame at the upper panel end 22. Then a reclining shielding cover 28 is formed in the length that it extends the front cover end 31 to the rear panel end 25, and a plurality of holes 33 for hooking are provided to the lower cover end 30 on the front cover end 31 side of the reclining shielding cover 28 in the longitudinal direction so that the holes 33 for hooking are positioned side by side with the plurality of holes 26 for hooking. Then the front cover end 31 is placed side by side with the rear panel end 25, and the reclining shielding cover 28 is covered with a reclining device from outside, assembled to the rear of a cushion side, and is fixed to the seat cushion frame.
