PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire correct status information from a web page stored in a monitored device. SOLUTION: A method is provided which extracts the status information from a script of the web page stored in the monitored device by using an abstract class interface. The abstract class interface includes a first function produced for acquiring support information to be used for extracting the status information, and a second function produced for extracting the status information from the script of the web page by using the support information. By using HTTP protocol, acquired support information and the second function of the abstract class interface, the monitored device is accessed. At least one type of the status information is acquired from the script of the web page, and the status information acquired in an access step is associated with vendor and model information and is stored in a second memory.
