<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multicylinder engine capable of restraining damage of a common rail. <P>SOLUTION: This multicylinder engine is constituted so that the installation direction of a crankshaft is set back and forth, and the breadthwise direction of a cylinder head 1 orthogonal to this back and forth direction is set in the lateral direction, and an intake distribution passage wall 2 is installed on lateral one side surface of the cylinder head 1, and an exhaust confluent passage wall 3 is installed on the other lateral side surface of the cylinder head 1, and the common rail 10 is arranged around the cylinder head 1. The intake distribution passage wall 2 is arranged between the cylinder head 1 and the common rail 10 by arranging the common rail 10 just beside the intake distribution passage wall 2. An intake inlet pipe 11 is erected in an upper part of the intake distribution passage wall 2, and an intake flange part 12 is arranged in this intake inlet pipe 11, and the intake flange part 12 is desirably positioned just above the common rail 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
