<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection apparatus, a power supply, an information supply system and the like for performing power supply and data transfer integrally to all the portable terminals connected via the connection apparatus by means of power line carrier frequency communication. <P>SOLUTION: A server 105 distributing data and the power supply 106 are connected to a power supply cable 109 superimposing a communication signal via a PLC modem 104 to be connected to the portable terminal 103 installed in a shopping cart 102 via a connection apparatus 101. The connection apparatuses 101 is provided with the PLC modem 114 for separating or superposing power from the power supply cable 130 and a communication signal.
