<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission with its construction simplified by reducing the total number of component parts of a clutch device and an planetary gear mechanism, capable of being miniaturized owing to a compact layout of the clutch device and the planetary gear mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: The transmission 1 is equipped with a clutch drum 21, a clutch hub 22, a multi-disc clutch 23 in which a plurality of friction discs 24 and friction plates 25 are arranged alternately, a clutch piston 26 for engaging the multi-disc clutch 23, a hydraulic working chamber 27 supplied with oil pressure to work the clutch piston 26, and the planetary gear mechanism 40 having a ring gear 42, wherein part of the clutch drum 21 is composed of the ring gear 42 of the planetary gear mechanism 42. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
