PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing process of a cushion material for a heat-resistant press which makes compression set small to raise durability by making cushioning properties good. SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing the cushion material 1 for the heat-resistant press allots a heat-resistant yarn member 2 to a surface layer 3 and at least one layer of multiplex woven cloth 5 to an intermediate layer 6, produces a laminate through a unvulcanized rubber layer 7 between the surface layer 3 and the intermediate layer 6 and/or the intermediate layers 6, then leaves this laminate in the state of non-pressure under heating, pressurizes and vulcanizes immediately after the cross-linking reaction of the rubber layer 7 begins to start, laminates and integrates.
